FED: Defence Dept full of bungling and corruption: report
MELBOURNE, Jan 12 AAP - Bungling, corruption and mismanagement in the Defence Departmenthas put the lives of service personnel at risk and cost taxpayers tens of billions ofdollars, according to a Melbourne newspaper report.
Today's Sunday Herald Sun claims the Australian defence force is riddled with failures,cover-ups, delays and rorting in its bureaucracy.
The newspaper says it has received information from more than 70 defence personnelwho say they have been rebuffed and persecuted after trying to report mismanagement andabuses.
